If you?ve got a 7? CDMA Galaxy Tab and aren?t afraid to tinker, you?ll be happy to know that Android 3.x Honeycomb is running thanks to the amazing developer community at XDA Forums. They?ve got the CDMA release for Alpha 2.5 available now, it?s 2.5 because Spacemoose1 doesn?t have everything working perfectly but will in Alpha 3. The Samsung Galaxy Tab ( ?from $349 including shipping at Amazon ) will have 75% of the features an fucntionality working, 3G is the big one that is absent from the list, but Wifi works!
Here is the list of the features that are up and running:
A fully working tablet marketplace.
Maps, places and street view.
Gmail.
Working audio (it needs work, but it?s there.)
The last version of voodoo sound integrated into the kernel.
The voodoo sound control app
A couple of widgets from the Asus Transformer.
A setup wizard that Allows you to select your language at startup.
A tablet keyboard that makes text entry easier apk.
EMS access, just plug it in to any PC and your SD should auto mount.
Multi Touch.
And a handful of stability and speed fixes.
Of course there is also a video, which, though to my first ?Quick ?n dirty? recalls YouTube videos, but you have an idea of ??the functionality:
If you wanted to check it out for your self, they?ve got a video featuring a quick and dirty walk through.
