Texas fugitive located and arrested in Boonville

BOONVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - A fugitive wanted in the state of Texas has been located and arrested in the Village of Boonville.

According to New York State Police, Michael P. Shea, 30, of Tyler, Texas, was found at a home in the village on Thursday and charged with being a fugitive from justice from the State of Texas. The Smith County Texas Sheriff's Department had an active arrest warrant for Shea's arrest for "violation of bond associated with engaging in organized crime."

Shea was arraigned in Trenton Town Court and sent to the Oneida County Jail on no bail, pending an extradition hearing.
