Jeff Jordan leaving Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) ? Jeff Jordan, the oldest son of Michael Jordan, is leaving the Central Florida basketball team for what he says are "personal reasons."

The school announced the decision Saturday night but did provide further details.

The senior guard didn't travel with the team for its 81-63 win at East Carolina on Saturday night. Jordan's younger brother and Knights guard Marcus Jordan, a junior, remains with the team.

Jeff Jordan walked on at Illinois and played three seasons before transferring to UCF after the 2009-10 season. He was playing his first season with the Knights after sitting out a season because of NCAA transfer rules.

He appeared in 13 games this season, averaging 2.7 points and 1.8 assists.
