MILWAUKEE -- Gusty winds blew through Southeast Wisconsin early Monday morning, prompting Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and widespread reports of damage.The National Weather Service reported trees down in the northern half of the city of Waukesha. Those trees were reported to be 12-18 inches in diameter.WE Energies reported nearly 28,000 customers without power at the height of the storm. Power to 16,000 of those customers has been restored as of 11:45 a.m. You can track WE Energies outages online by clicking here. The largest concentration of outages was in Kenosha county, where nearly 12,000 customers were reported to be without power.Waukesha county also had a large number of outages. Waukesha city officials reported minor damage, with a few trees and power lines down.A WE Energies spokesperson said they expect to restore power to most customers today.Viewers have submitted photos of the approaching storm on our u local site.
