A 15-year-old girl was shot in Orange County after leaving church with her parents, deputies said Sunday night.
Now, sheriff's investigators said they are looking for a charcoal-colored Chevrolet Equinox SUV and a tan sedan.
Deputies said the cars' occupants were firing shots at each other, sending a bullet into the innocent teen.
According to deputies, the girl, who was not immediately identified, was in the back seat of a white minivan. Her father was driving, and her mother was in the front passenger seat.
The family had just left church around 6:30 p.m., and were traveling westbound on North Lane, when the girl's father said he heard gunfire coming from two passing vehicles.
Deputies said the father tried to turn onto Powers Drive to get out of the way.
But when the girl's mother looked in the back seat, she found their back window shattered, and her daughter slumped over in the seat.
Deputies said first responders initially took the girl to Orlando Regional Medical Center, but she was then transferred to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
Investigators would not immediately say where the girl was shot, or what her condition was.
Witnesses described the two other vehicles for deputies, who said they are still on the lookout for the suspects.
